- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager; all selections must win for you to receive a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to make a match more even for betting purposes, expressed in whole or half numbers, which removes the draw option.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of deciding how much of your bankroll to risk on each bet to keep losses manageable.
- Bet Builder
- A betting feature that lets you combine different markets from the same match into a single wager, often with related odds.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record that shows the selections you have made, the odds, the amount you wish to stake, and the potential payout before you confirm the bet.
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that allows you to settle a bet before the event finishes, locking in a profit or limiting a loss based on the current odds.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match (e.g., home win or draw) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet where your stake is returned if the match ends in a draw, leaving only a win for one of the teams as a winning outcome.
- Each Way
- A two-part bet that includes a win selection and a place selection; if the team wins, both parts pay, and if it places, the place part pays at a fraction of the odds.
- Enhanced Odds
- Promotional odds that are higher than the normal market odds, offered to attract bets on a particular event.
- Free Bet
- A token provided by the bookmaker that can be used to place a bet without using your own funds; any winnings are usually paid out minus the free‑bet stake.
- In-Play Betting
- Betting on a match after it has started, with odds that change as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission added by the bookmaker into the odds, often shown as a small extra amount you must risk (e.g., -110) to win $100.
- Match Result
- A simple bet on which team will win the match or if it will end in a draw.
- Odds Format
- The style in which betting odds are presented – for example, decimal, fractional, or American – each indicating how much you can win per unit staked.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or another statistic) will be higher or lower than a line set by the bookmaker.
- Proposition Bet
- A wager on a specific detail within the match, such as the first player to score or the number of yellow cards, rather than the final result.
- Push
- A tie between the bettor and the bookmaker where the outcome matches the line exactly, resulting in the stake being refunded.
- Risk-Free Bet
- A promotion that refunds your stake as a free bet if your first wager loses, up to a specified amount.
- Stake
- The amount of money you decide to risk on a particular bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an expected advantage over time.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and the stake returned, usually because the event was postponed, abandoned, or the market was deemed invalid.
- Wagering Requirement
- A condition that specifies how many times you must bet a bonus or free‑bet amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
